ART AND PASSION

Chio was born in Rome from a project by Francesca Battisti, art historian, restorer and designer.

His great passion for jewelry, made using the ancient technique of lost wax casting, combined with modeling and 3D graphics, lead her to give life to a jewelry brand of her own, 100% handmade in Italy, capable of combining craftsmanship and design.

until, tradition, innovation and uniqueness are therefore the characteristics of Chio jewels, small pret-à sculptures- porter, made entirely by hand.

THE USE OF AN ANCIENT TECHNIQUE ...

Francesca Battisti uses the ancient lost-wax casting technique that allows her to mold the initial wax model and create jewelry, in Silver 925 and yellow bronze, like small sculptures. Thanks to the use of this technique, imperfection takes on the meaning of uniqueness, the diversity of exclusivity and the true luxury of creating and wearing unique pieces.

UNIQUE AND ARTISAN JEWELS ...

My idea was to create a jewelry line, not necessarily linked to the preciousness of the materials, that went beyond the classic stereotype of an expensive object.

For me it was important to create unique and handcrafted pieces, each with a different meaning and accessible to all while maintaining a rigorous quality standard of the metals and materials used.

I imagine a free femininity, a beautiful woman because she is imperfect, therefore unique and not approved, contrary to ostentation, that releases its personality and makes it even stronger through the jewel and its intrinsic message.”
